Juan Antonio was the winner of the fifth stage of the Hawk European Tour.
The fifth stage of the Hawk European Tour 2007 was held on the 7th July at Mostoles: a city located 20 km in the southeast of the Spanish capital at the fantastic skatepark situated in the sport complex called “Los Rosales” with swimming pools, tennis grounds and tennis.
All the conditions came together for a quality event. Plenty of sun, a great atmosphere and a skatepark composed of several pools allowed to the skaters to offer a quality show for the crowds of people present.
In this competition more than 30 competitors participated, composed of three categories:
-In the 10-14 year old category, it was Dani León who won with fluid and technical lines (sad, fs air, heelflip indy).
-It was Juan Antonio who won this fifth stage. He competed in the 14-18 year old category. He made the difference in finale in front of Dani León thanks to a varied and technical performance (one foot, bs 3-6 sad).
-The girls category combined three girls.
The youth, Max and Adrian, who are just 7 years old, were supported by the public.
After the action, kids were able to take advantage of 3 XBOX 360 game consoles (provided by Activision) and Tony Hawk’s Project 8 video games to perfect their technique!!!
The music assured by Juan Luis ( Reda Rock), made the public vibrate with its tubes of the 80s, punctuated by the comments of Ellis from the store Dak-Tak (day announcer).
After the demo from the Hawk team riders (Werner Sandoz, Octavio Barrera, Raphael Brunis), the participants grouped together into the big pool for the prize-giving. Indeed, to reward all the competitors a “present session” (offered by Hawk Clothing, Activision, Dogway Magazine and the Dak-Tak store) was organized in the bowl to close this great day.
In brief...the weather was perfect!!! The skaters and the public answered were on form. It was a very good skateboarding moment. We hope to see you next year. In the meantime, we are looking forward to the grand final in Anglet (France) on 22nd August with Tony Hawk.
